Compact design and ease of usability are among the main features and advantages of Vinayak Construction Equipments make asphalt drum mix plant. Drum mix plant is a continuous type where the drum is the main component. The process of heating and mixing is done inside a single drum, hence the name drum mix plant. This process is done continuously and that is why we know this as a continuous plant.
Asphalt Plants
The asphalt plants or asphalt mixing plant is one plant that is used for mixing the dry warm aggregate, padding, and Asphalt for a homogeneous mixture at the required temperature. And it is widely used in the construction of highways, city road, and parking lots.
Function of an asphalt plant: Asphalt mixing plant(drum mixing plant) weighs the materials like aggregates, bitumen, and filler material and adds them at a specific elevated temperature to make hot mix asphalt.
Common operations of an asphalt mixing plant :
Common operations of drum mix plants include collective weighing of aggregates prior to the addition of aggregates into the drum. The further operation of the drum mixer includes heating the aggregates and addition of bitumen and filler material into the same drum unit.
Components of a drum mix plant :
Drum mix plants have components like cold feeder bins, weighing conveyors, drying and mixing drum with burner, and bitumen tanks. They also feature a filler hopper, wet dust scrubber, charging conveyor, control panel, and optional silos for hot storage.
What is Drum Mix Plant/Asphalt Drum Mixing Plant?
Drum Mix plant is a continuous mixer in which heating of aggregates, asphalt drum mix plant’s homogenous mixing, and addition of a set amount of Bitumen and Filler are done in the Drum itself. The Hot Mix Asphalt Plant manufactured gets dispensed continuously into a truck or conveyed to a storage silo.
Drum mixing plant is a continuous type of asphalt plant; also it is known as asphalt drum mix plant, drum mix plant, portable asphalt plant, hot mix asphalt plant, mobile asphalt plant manufacturers in India.
Asphalt Drum Mix Plant : ADMP
The asphalt drum mix plant is also called a continuous mixing plant. Unlike a batch mixing plant that produces hot mixes in batches, continuous mixing plants mix and produce material without stops. Drum Mix plant is a continuous mixer in which heating of aggregates, its homogenous mixing and addition of set amount of Bitumen and Filler is done in the Drum itself. The Hot Mix Asphalt manufactured gets dispensed continuously into a truck or conveyed to a storage silo. It does all its process in a continuous manner. Heating of aggregate is done inside a drum. Inside the same drum, mixing with bitumen and filler material takes place. The ready hot mix asphalt is then loaded into silos or waiting trucks.

Asphalt Drum Mix Plant Process
The Asphalt Drum Mix Plant process starts with the feeding of cold aggregates into feed bins. The equipment is usually equipped with three or four bin feeders (or more) and aggregates are loaded into different bins as per their sizes. This is done so that different-sized aggregates can be graded as per the requirement. The drum does two operations: drying and mixing Rotating drum is equipped with flights that help in drying the aggregates in the 1st half of the drum and in 2nd half of the drum the aggregates are mixed with bitumen + filler material. The drum plays an important role in the drum mix plant process.
